He mailed the marketing team during the meeting. I got the mail before
the meeting was over. He works pretty quickly.

Well, the support of Canonicals marketing dept can only be a good think
in my book.

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but I think you're wrong :)

It also depends what you mean by "huge", how you measure success. We get
lots of downloads. Each video page is viewed many thousands of times,
and each video is downloaded many hundreds of times. Some more than
others of course.

Indeed it is a cumbersome process. Once which I'd like to see made
easier.

There are some issues yes, but have you seen how many translations there
have been? People are working on them and we have results.

Not really. People can translate any time. The screencasts aren't going
anywhere. If someone translates a screencast I made a year ago, today,
I'd be delighted. Equally if someone translates the ones I made
yesterday, I'd be equally delighted.

That's quite harsh.

I have already started writing such a spec and will do my best to move
that on at UDS later this month.

Yeah, I admit it was possibly somewhat over ambitious, but hey, we've
got a bunch of screencasts and some translation out of it, can't be all
bad can it :)

(I am a glass-half-full kinda guy).
