Sorry I should have linked to the MP that this one supersedes - https://code.launchpad.net/~philroche/livecd-rootfs/+git/livecd-rootfs/+merge/451893 This is where the suggestion was to remove it entirely for cloud images. 

You can't see it in the diff - but these removals apply only to the ubuntu-cpc cloud image build code path.
