Hello Steve,

please, have a look at auto/config line 350. 'riscv64:generic' is treated differently to 'riscv64:'. ubuntu-cpc/hooks.d/base/series/disk-image-non-cloud would not be used. The Ubuntu cloud images are created with SUBARCH='' while with SUBARCH='generic' we create the generic preinstalled image which has a preset password and empty partitions 13, 14 for U-Boot or EDK II.

See also ubuntu-cpc/hooks.d/base/disk-image-uefi-non-cloud.binary line 38 where the image size depends on SUBARCH=='generic'.
