@Sebastien: The objection at the other PR was that setting DICPATH globally would affect other applications but the FF snap. But if we (somehow) limit it to Firefox, I'm not sure what makes you hesitate. Firefox as snap wouldn't see /usr/share/hunspell otherwise — DICPATH would help it see that directory.

OTOH there is another option: If it's possible to apply a distro specific customization of the FF snap, maybe we could set spellchecker.dictionary_path in about:config. That's what we do in the FF .deb currently.
