I've just realised that the 5-year support on desktop versions only starts with 12.04LTS, not 10.04LTS.

I would like to press for a 5-year support of 10.04LTS. On my machine it is so much better that
12.04LTS. I tried 12.04.1 as recommended soon after its release.

Reasons for dislike of 12.04LTS on my 512M (447MB LOWMEM available) 2.2GHz 32-bit laptop -
upon which 10.04LTS is lovely. It is a little above the minimum configuration.

1. Much slower than 10.04

2. gcc does not work -- !!!! was 12.04 ever tested on as 32 bit system

3. Update process is including AMD64 modules. Is this correct

4. Don't like the dash -- silly Mac copy

So I trashed my 12.04, did a fresh install of 10.04, and I got my nice computer back.

So can we have 5 years of support for 10.04, and 32-bit testing of 12.04 in the meantime?
