=== What was done engineering wise? ===

  * system-config-printer: Tested automatic printer driver download and
made it working in all situations, submitted changes upstream
  * Software Updater will now let you stop the automatic cache update if
you just want to see what updates the system already knows about
  * New releases of lightdm and unity-greeter, with some UI tweaks
andNetworkManagersupport in the greeter
  * New light-themes and ubuntu-wallpaper releases, including the
results of the wallpaper contest
  * Prepared upload forNetworkManager0.6 for after beta freeze
  * Uploaded nm-applet with UI tweaks for greeter, using work from Wellark
  * Updated
pages, including the QA process for NM before upload
  * Documentation/testing/call for testing for proxy support
  * Porting gwibber to python 3, with comprehensive test suite, huge
code cleanup
  * Libroffice does have native appmenu support now
  * Ubuntu-default-settings to set the gsetting schemas override
configuration on its own silo to help derivatives to customize their own
  * GNOME updates
  * Proposed to techboard adding nvidia-experimental package for
providing beta drivers.
  * Proposed to techboard expedited process for releasing the -updates
  * Unity 6.4 landed with coverflow, previews and webapps support
  * Compiz GLES landed
Those gave us back a working desktop on arm-pandoboard

=== What's about to land that might impact the other teams and release
as a whole? ===

So quite some dxteam features didn't land on time and will need to go
through FFe:

Those are landing shortly after beta freeze:

  * Webapps
    * Firefox extension should land after beta 1 pending
     * libunity-webapps FFe for package installation

Those are aiming to land after beta1, mostly pending from PS:
  * remote login work tracked in https://launchpad.net/bugs/1040221
  * gwibber lens work
  * firefox integration for webapp (finally acked by mozilla)
  * llvmpipe improvements
  * stategy for low end machines and arm installs
  * one workspace by default

We are as well fixing some missing FFe/UIE from PS.

=== Summary of bugs working on by team (reasonably reliable) ===

  * Mostly monitoring and helping PS to track their most important bugs:
    * gsettings ones:
    * resorting the desktop/dx bug list tracked by the release team:
  * [power]: gnome-settings-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in
gnome_rr_screen_get_dpms_mode(): http://launchpad.net/bugs/1045662 Good
progress by mterry, confirming it's fixed in progress.

=== Dependencies on other teams to make deliverables, blocking items,
release wide concerns? ===

  * foundation's XDG_RUNTIME_DIR support didn't land
