== What was done engineering wise? ==

The foundations team had its virtual python3 porting sprint this week
and ported the following packages:

* python-newt 
* python-apt
* apt-btrfs-snapshot
* xdiagnose
* python-gobject (replaced by python-gi)
* aptdaemon
* apturl
* update-manager

Packages still being worked on:

* apt-clone
* auto-upgrade-tester
* duplicity
* apparmor
* zeitgeist
* unity-lens-videos
* python-cups
* python-smbc
* libpeas
* packagekit

an overview about still pending packages that are on the CD images and
will either have to be ported or removed can be found at:

* gdb is not python3 ready yet, please use gdb-minimal instead
