I'll be representing the Foundations team at this week's release meeting.

== What was done engineering wise? ==
 - Germinate 2.0 and corresponding Launchpad changes.
Should should allow for a 30-minute publisher runs.
 - Helping bringing armhf online
 - Upstarts
   - job logging is pending review
   - setuid/setgid is pretty much ready (should be merged tomorrow)
   - work on a upstart "menu" to choose what version of upstart to run
for testing and development
 - ISO tracker
   - New API to push/update/remove/query results, already used for
upgrade testing
   - Most new features now turned on post alpha-1 (hardware profiles,
multiple results per user, accessing archived results, access to
removed/superseded builds)
 - Uploaded a new ifenslave to fix some nasty race conditions, will
likely be SRUed to lucid, maverick, natty and oneiric to fix a variety
of bugs
 - Continued work on porting python-dbus to python3, a PPA should soon
be available for testing.

== What's about to land that might impact the other teams? ==
 - A new upstart release is coming soon.
 - Landing of the December pull of the Linaro toolchain
(Matthias will send a separate e-mail about that one)

== Summary of bugs ==
The only rls-p-tracking bug targeted for alpha-2 is:
 - 874774 - could not mount /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 (Steve is assigned
to it and a patch has been attached a few days ago)

- From the rls-mgr-p-tracking bug list, we also get:
 - 850264 - given a foreign architecture of i386 on amd64 machine, and
an outdated libc, apt tries to remove libc-bin (Still on foundations'
list but currently assigned to Martin for reproduction and investigation)

Besides these two alpha-2 targeted bugs, we also recently discussed
(picked up from our meeting notes):
 - 900636 - libreoffice ftbfs on armhf (Matthias had an initial look
at it and attached a patch but doesn't plan on spending more time on it)
 - 553745 - Plymouth crashing at boot time (still can't reliably
reproduce, James is looking at it)

== Dependencies on the other teams, blocking items ==
 - Production ISO tracker upgrade is currently blocked on IS deploying
Drupal 7 and the new branches.

== Blueprints ==

I think that's it for Foundations, if I forgot anything or you want
more details on something I listed, please ask.
