I'm very sorry, this was my bad. You need to do exactly the opposite.
GNOME accounts need the primary password and not a specific app
password, but I think you already know that, because you have access as
you said.
So, the problem could be the seahorse application. Are you using the
autologin method ? (bypass the login screen without password)
