Liaison to Launchpad

We ran a bit out of time at the last QA meeting to finish our
discussion of the proposal about creating a QA Launchpad Liaison role.
I wrote up a little wiki page describing the role:

Any questions about the position?

Currently MOTU have a Liaison, a Translations Liaison is in the works,
and I think since QA is a big stakeholder in Launchpad that it would
make sense to have a community (as in QA community) representative.

Now, I think the biggest challenge is who to have as the Liaison. I
expressed, at the QA meeting two weeks ago, that I would prefer the
person to not be a Canonical employee. My reasoning for that
preference is that the liaison role is heavily dependent on
open/transparent communication and going between the QA community and
Launchpad. Because Canonical employees, I believe, already have
somewhat of an "inside track" due to sprints, internal communication
channels, and management avenues, I'm concerned that it would be easy
for a Canonical employee to "shortcut" some of the community aspects
of the role. That said, employment status should certainly not bar
somebody from filling the position. I just want to make sure they
understand that it is a QA community position.

So, all that said, do we have any volunteers? :-)
