Windows above the launchers

Hi

somehow I managed to change the positioning of the windows or the launchers
(and lenses), so that the windows are all above the launchers and lenses.
The "dodge windows" is working, and the launcers appear when moving the
mouse to the left, but *under* any windows --- so I can not see them at all
when I have a maximized window.

Any ideas how I can change this?
