Hi Daniel
I did not change any bios settings before and after I installed feisty. I
did not defrag my HD, I did not htink Kubuntu can be defragged. I browsed
through ubuntu forums and there were some similar though not the same
problems. I decided that it would be easiest for me, in the sense that I am
sure that it will work, to install gutsy from a dvd. I've just finished
downloading a dvd version, all I need now is to back-up my files, through
Knoppix and install.
I really need to be more patient, I think it was my impatience that did me
in.
