[Ubuntu-PH] help with edubuntu installantion

Yesterday I tried edubuntu and the installer freezes at 6% and echoes out an
error on the gcompris package. I just ignored it and I was able to install
edubuntu, only that there is no GUI, just command prompt.

Note that this is the same PC I used with edubuntu. 

I used partition magic to repartition and reformat the drive, im now on the
the part which "Prepare Disk Space" and I chose resize SCSI1.. again it
seemed to hang.

Are there any other options ?

If nothing happens until two hours(too long), I would rather try to 
install a different distribution like Fedora to see if it will replicate 
that Ubuntu installer problem, anyway, I don't know if your hard drive 
is brand new(assuming that it is not defective), so you can easily point 
out that it is not a hard drive failure. Formatting a hard drive must be 
flawless, unless there is a problem within the hardware itself that it 
cause the installer to freeze.
