Thats a good one! In the big scene, records can be kept in a central
location for each agency and all government agencies are
interconnected to each other so they could have collaboration and
records can be accessed in any agency.
For example, if a court order has been issued, all government agencies
concerned are informed. Police can better track criminals thru police
blotters, and the bureau of immigration can execute the hold departure
order, etc.
Acquiring licenses would be easier since the record of identity of a
person can be accurately determined thru his records. Visa
applications are faster because they can access the person's financial
and criminal records for basis of identity and approval. and a whole
lot more.
Of course, it would take time, a lot of collaboration and most of all
eqiupments.
