Hi Reinhold,

When "sudo" prompts for a password it is asking for your user login
password; e.g. if you login with username "bob", password "sandwich",
and then run sudo, you would use the password "sandwich".

This is an important concept for Ubuntu, as it does not have a root
password by default, and expects you to escalate privileges using sudo
or similar to perform administrative functions.

Not all user accounts are able to use sudo, but the main account
created when you install Ubuntu can. If you use sudo and it gives you
a message about not being in the "SUDOERS" file, then you need to log
in as the primary user.

I hope this helps.
