geen verbinding met ssid hidden

Als ik mijn router  SMC 7908 VoWBRA instel op hidden ssid kan mijn
laptop niet connecten. mijn Skype Netgear wifi phone kan het wel.

De laptop heeft een IPW2200 chipset

De beveiliging op de router staat op WPA/WPA2 ( de Netgear phone
ondersteund alleen WPA ) met wachtzin.

Filtering op MAC adres, hier staan de MAC adressen van de lapton en de
wifi phone.

Liever had ik ook nog hidden ssid, lijkt me net nog een stapje veiliger,
of ben ik nu te paranoide?

OS is Ubuntu ( wat anders :) ) 7.04
