Fridge needs a theme, can you help?

This page is starting to fill up with some ideas. I posted one of my
own along with some screenshots of other sites to use as inspiration.
The difference between what I've justed posted and what others are
posting is that I'm focused on the layout, less on the design.

Keep the ideas coming in. It would be cool if someone would take my
layout and wrap it into a pretty design with some nicer fonts.

Speaking of fonts, a lot of news sites use a heavy serif font for
their headlines and masthead. However Ubuntu branded artwork typically
has a sans-serif, often rounded font. Anyone have thoughts on the
matter?
