compatibility with IE6 on windows

Hi all,
My suggestion while ubuntu should continue supporting IE6 so probable
users know about ubuntu but at the same time having some sort of
pop-up (not desirable really) or some other elegant way (which I
cannot think of atm) in which they come to know about Mozilla firefox
(basically that there are other open-source browsers) as well.  This
should accomplish both the tasks, while letting them see stuff, also
opening up their mind to alternatives.
