[ubuntu-mythtv] Mythbuntu 12.04 install hangs at "stopping kernel save messages"

Before you do anything else, run the built-in memtest+ from the Ubuntu boot
CD to verify that your memory and CPU are not having issues and rule out
those as a source of this problem. My experience with Linux boot issues is
usually down to faulty memory.
