Hey everyone,
Trying to just get everyone together here, there's some interest in
pulling the Malay translation of Firefox into upstream (and I assume
updating it for 3.5). First, some introductions:
Alexander Sack: Firefox maintainer for Ubuntu
Axel Hecht: l10n coordinator for Firefox
Fenris: Malay localization contact.
Seth Bindernagel & Gen Kanai are also cc'ed as they're also involved
in localization and Asia, respectively.
https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/jaunty/+source/firefox-3.0/+pots/firefox/ms/+translate
appears to have the current 3.0 translation, so that's probably a
great starting point. I understand from Alexander than there isn't
great support for exporting in a way that matches upstream's setup,
yet, but I'm hopeful that Axel and Alexander (who are, fortunately, on
the same continent, and hopefully in the same timezone) can figure out
a way of solving that. If there's other concerns, please let us know
and we can figure out how to solve those as well!
