i'm not sure how complete the Linux HCL is. my own desktop here is an
Asus P4P800 if that helps. obsolete by now.
i know the m/b i used for the Quad Core is an Intel production board a
dealer friend is testing. try to stick to Intel motherboard if you want
some assurance it will work. the desktop boards are not expensive.
otherwise AMD is works fine too.
note that so called on-board RAID is not natively supported in Linux.
you can still use the hard disks individually.
