[Bug 1240233] [NEW] Firefox locks shortly when switching tabs or entering data into forms

Since recently I observe a very annoying behaviour of firefox. Firefox
locks for 1-5 seconds whenever I switch tabs, scroll, click on buttons
or enter text into forms (in this sentence it happened already a couple
of times). This makes working in firefox a nuisance. Opening pages takes
longer than in google chrome, albeit firefox used to be significantly
faster than chrome. After the inital freeze, sides are loaded quickly
though.
