[Bug 1177090] [NEW] firefox crashes/stalls x server

Public bug reported:

4 GB RAM, dual core CPU with Lubuntu 13.04. Starting firefox sometimes
crashes/stall X server rendering the box completely inoperable. Must
hard reboot with on/off button on PC.
