It is some time ago since i saw this bug, or to know if it is even still
there.

But as i recall, the user has the impression the machine has been
taken over. The browser became unusable!!!
Firefox should not allow this state to be entered!!!!!!

"questionable sites" is not relevant.

please reconsider status change, otherwise the user will just start
using chrome!!!
