This has been dropped purposefully upstream as Firefox was the last browser to support the tag and it was never a part of any web standard. If you wish, you can open a bug upstream and mark it blocking https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=857820
also see:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/blink
and
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox/Releases/23

As we won't be diverging from upstream Firefox in this regard, I'm
closing this as won't fix. If upstream decides to wishlist a request to
reintroduce, we'll change the status back.

** Bug watch added: Mozilla Bugzilla #857820

** Changed in: firefox (Ubuntu)
       Status: Triaged => Won't Fix
