A resolution for this is crucial especially for enterprise usage where
such a proxy configuration is much more common than at home. I urge you
to look into this issue for the upcoming enterprise version of firefox
(http://blog.mozilla.com/blog/2012/01/10/delivering-a-mozilla-firefox-
extended-support-release/).

It would be a huge improvement for us in Firefox, in fact the biggest in
years. Thanks!
