Hi Chris,

As a site note, I have 2 laptops affected by the exact same problem :
Both upgraded from Precise to Quantal Alpha 3, both having the same
message indicator issue :

- Indicator Empty (No Thunderbird, no Gwibber)
- New messages received in Thunderbird do give a pop-up telling about them
- Unread messages number in Unity laucher updates once, then stays static

Performing your requested tests, I can tell that libmessaging-menu0 is
NOT repeat NOT installed on any of my 2 machines.

Should I install it ?
