Hi,

Thanks for that. So, we've ruled out you having an old version of the
messaging indicator addon installed in your profile.

Can you tell me if libmessaging-menu0 is installed? (you can check by
running "apt-cache policy libmessaging-menu0"). If it is, could you
please do the following:

- In Thunderbird, open the preferences dialog (Edit -> Preferences)
- In the preferences dialog, go to the "Advanced" pane, select the "General" tab and press the "Config Editor..." button
- In the config editor, please create the following preferences:
1) A boolean preference called "extensions.messagingmenu.logging.enabled" and set to true
2) A string preference called "extensions.messagingmenu.logging.domains" and set to "all".
3) A boolean preference called "dom.report_all_js_exceptions" and set to true.
- Restart thunderbird from a terminal and paste the output.
- Also please open the error console "Tools -> Error Console" and paste any errors or warnings here

You'll want to remove those preferences afterwards, else thunderbird
will fill your .xsession-errors
