[Bug 856014] [NEW] currently unable to download pdf files from websites

Downloading pdf type files from websites is normally a click and done process, but ocassionally  (this evening) it just sits there. 
Maybe a firefox problem?   Running 6.0.2
Version of imbedded Adobe;  9.4.2-0natty1 (acroread)
