Public bug reported:

TB's menu entry disappears when ThunderBird is closed. 
I tried adding a static entry manually with and without sub entries which works great when TB isn't open, but when I open it I get no sub-entries (compose, contacts and even new mail).

Using Thunderbird 5 from Mozilla's PPA and v0.7.2 compiled on a 64bit
machine.
