I have what I would call a non-trivial networking setup of my maverick
install, because of my office firewall setup. I use approx, and when at
work, I target ftp servers through my approx.conf config.

I've just tried to do an apt-get upgrade, and it is now stalled on
installing/upgrading flashplugin-installer. The (I assume) post-install
script is seemingly trying to wget a file named
flashplugin_10.2.152.27.orig.tar.gz, And as you can see, as my install
is not configured for http:

The Flash plugin is NOT installed.

Besides the annoyance of this installer breaking out of the apt
installation system (usually one should safely assume that all
dependencies are listed on the initial apt command, and that it is a
complete list of what will be downloaded), I could not ctrl-c the
install.

And as you can see, it took more than an hour for the wget to finally
give up and let my much larger, and more important, apt-get upgrade
continue.

Please consider another method to this install. As I recall, there are
different prompt levels on a package install. Wouldn't it be better to
prompt the user to give them the choice of a "web pull", and two
options, one to a command-line to allow for manual download of the file,
and the other to prompt for the location of the downloaded file.
