[Bug 581336] Re: installing enigmail package does not install enigmail extension

I tried installing from a downloaded xpi. I get the msg that the
enigmail 1.1.2 tb linux xpi is not compatible with Thunderbird 3.0.9.
I've registered a comment on a similar bug in enigmail on bugzilla, but
this looks like one of those nasty cases of a big crack between two
packages.
