[Bug 682136] [NEW] Thunderbird script busy when composing new message

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

On Ubuntu 10.10, Thunderbird 3.1.6 hangs when clicking "Write" button,
displaying "Unresponsive script" chrome://editor/content/editor.js:1094
(see attachment). If the script is stopped, message cannot be composed
because it is impossible to enter text in the body field; if the script
is continued, Thunderbird hangs forever, showing the same message over
and over.

This is curious because on my system there are four user accounts (say
user1, user2, user3, user4). This started happening one week ago to
user2 only. Completely removing ~user2/.thunderbird/ folder does not
solve the issue, neither reinstalling Thunderbird by executing: sudo
apt-get install --reinstall thunderbird.

Screenshot translation from Italian to English:
Warning: Unresponsive script
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: chrome://editor/content/editor.js:1094
[ ] Do not ask me again
[Stop the script] [Continue]

** Affects: thunderbird (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
