@Bryce Harrington: please don't change the original report (unless
you're the original reporter), and please don't attempt to "resolve" the
issue in the title of the bug report.

There are multiple suggestions/workarounds/solutions in this thread, and
the Adobe developer who has discussed this issue makes it clear that the
modification you keep advertising (which we're probably all using by
now) doesn't work with Compiz:

"Another important note: Compiz and GPU-accelerated Flash on Linux do
not mix. The Flash Player still works if you have Compiz as your window
manager; you just won’t be able to make use of GPU-accelerated
features."
