Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
System hangs when using firefox (as simple as a google search right after boot).
It was found that this bug is avoided when System>Preference>Appearence>Visual Effects is set to "None". Crashes with "Normal" setting.
Video is ATI Radeon 9600
Lenovo T42 laptop
Latest Ubuntu 10.10 (first time trying out Ubuntu). Disappointed with
not being able to use Firefox. But now I can live without visual effects
until the bug is fixed.
