well, I narrowed it down and it isn't firefox, I downloaded google
chrome and seamonkey and it all did the same problem so its definitely
not the web browser..

its either the usb wireless card and the os compability... Now, every
time when it lags through the connection, i just shut off the wireless
connection, then i unplug the card and plug the card in again, and it
works just fine.

i tried to go in the terminal and reset the wireless config or enter new
ip address but that didn't work as well...

do you have any suggestions?

i really don't want to constantly plug and unplug the usb card... i'm
thinking of exchanging a new card, one that is more compatitble towards
linux.

After sitting ubuntu for a while, the firefox brower fails load webpages
from download information from webistes.. in other words, it lags...

i typed in the terminal to restart firefox hoping that it would resolve
the issue but it didnt

for now, whenever that happens, i have to restart ubuntu and then
firefox works fine again.
