** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: firefox

I run Ubuntu. I tried to copy the version information from System/About
Ubuntu, but though it selects, it doesn't actually copy. (Design flaw?)
Anyway, it's the current LTS. On it I use Firefox. I tried to copy the
version information from Help/About Mozilla Firefox, and there's quite a
bit of that, but most of it will not even select. The final line,
however, can in fact be copied, and is: "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux
i686; nl;", and this Firefox is the version that came with the OS. My
system is up to date to the point where no updates are indicated as
  waiting to be installed.

Firefox runs OK. I've now added a second profile, called "dev", and as
long as the profile "default" is run, it still runs OK. Beyond that I
don't understand profiles, but if, for whatever reason, the "dev"
profile is started, I can only browse by search field. As soon as I
actually try to follow a link in Google, Firefox disappears, and when
restarted may give its usual embarrassing speech about being
  embarrassed.

If I run Firefox from the shell, and it starts the "dev" profile, then the feedback will be:
Attempting to load the system libmoon
  Segmentation fault

I understand that there are other somewhat similar bugs about libmoon
and Firefox, but as the difference between the profiles seems rather
unusual, I reported this as a new bug, should you want to analyse this
instance separately. Feel free to either choose to do so, or to declare
  it a full duplicate anyway.

As always: Feel free to ask for more complex bug information; while I
find filing a bug report this way quite complex enough, I'm always
willing to add additional steps afterwards.
