Hey folks, worth noting that I'm no longer experiencing this problem.
The difference is I've switched from lighting to sunbird calendar some
time back. Since removing lightning, I've had no more problems with
windows freezing... for me Sunbird is a better calendar solution, as it
speeds up thunderbird, and can be moved away from thunderbird to the
relevant desktop. Could this then be an issue with the lightning
integration? Cheers,
