I'm still seeing this bug.

At this point, I observe the bug at random times any time I open a new
email for writing (using write, reply or reply all).  Oddly enough,
closing the window with the mouse, and then hitting the OTHER button
works. (eg, if reply failed to give a writable window, reply all will
usually work.)  It then seems to work again for a while, until another
random non-writable window pops up.

Again, if there's any information I can provide, I'm happy to do so.
