Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
There is no way for users to change the flashplayer in use even if
several alternatives are installed.
as there is a way for root to change this systemwide via update-alteranatives there should be a way to do this on a per-user basis.
this could happen by placing a symlink named flashplugin-alternative.so to /usr/lib/xulrunner-addons/plugins/flashplugin-alternative.so somewhere in the profile.
firefox should honour this link.
if the user changes it directly to the plugin he/her prefers:
/usr/lib/gnash/libgnashplugin.so
/usr/lib/swfdec-mozilla/libswfdecmozilla.so
or even the adobe plugin
it should be loaded with the next instance of ff.
