@Sancho, you refer to a patch - can you give a pointer to the patch?  We
are relatively caught up to upstream's latest released code, but if
there are new patches we can certainly consider backporting them, but
the exact patches need to be identified first.

For anyone still seeing this problem, please attach your
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.  Simply giving a "me too" with no details is sort
of like phoning your friend and telling them you're lost, without
telling them what street you're on.  ;-)  The Xorg.0.log has the info
about your video card, software versions, etc. needed for
troubleshooting.
