1) The release of Ubuntu I am using: Gutsy 7.10
2) The version of Firefox I am using: 2.0.0.13+1nobinonly-0ubuntu0.7.10
3) What you expected to happen: 
The deleted division should be visually marked: <DIV >a</DIV ><DEL ><DIV >a</DIV ></DEL  >
4) What happened instead: Both divisions look exactly the same.
