Experimented with a possible solution, only now I can't determine
exactly which one it is.  I had installed a bunch of new fonts manually
and that's when the problem occurred.  So I deleted the fonts that I
installed and cleared the cache and now there's no problem.  However, I
don't know which font it might be.  Hmmmm....have to do a bit of testing
- which sucks because there's about 1,000 fonts to go through.
