Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: firefox
When starting firefox when no other firefox windows exist, it will start
maximized. This bug is not about starting in the maximized state, and I
will give no further information on it unless requested. The issue is
upon restoring from maximized to a non-maximized state. When I restore
the window, it becomes the smaller size I expect, and the size I left it
in from a previous session. However, upon focusing the window using my
mouse cursor (I use focus follows mouse), the firefox window is rescaled
to take up the entire desktop, but is NOT in the maximized state. It
still has window borders and can be resized from there.
I am reporting this as a firefox bug instead of a window manager bug
because this only affects firefox to the best of my knowledge.
