[Bug 135241] [gutsy] some animations are really *slow*

I'm using gutsy
I have firefox  2.0.0.6+2-0ubuntu3  

animations such as the one in this page, when  clicking on the laptop picture, are really slow unless I add the XAANoOffscreenPixmaps option.
A similar bug was found in evince and recently fixed. I use a Mobility radeon 9700 with the opensource driver.

Since firefox massively uses CAIRO_FORMAT_ARGB32, I might think that
maybe the cause is the same.
