[Bug 132681] firefox very slow compared to other browsers on large pages

look at a largish page

http://www.stetson.edu/~efriedma/numbers.html

either scroll or right click, both operations take 100% cpu (3ghz celeron 1gb mem)
for significant amounts of time

contrast this with almost any other browser and you don't see near the same
problem
