Reinstalled Gutsy due to other issues. Updated package installs
flawlessly for me. However, as I stated above, the current package will
NOT upgrade the previous, broken, package and said package CAN NOT BE
REMOVED as is, right now. This is the real issue for those who aren't
willing to reinstall the entire OS because of one broken package.

Then again, those people shouldn't be running Gutsy yet, either.

Yagisan: are you sure you updated your apt sources and marked the
package for upgrade rather than reinstall? you should be receiving an
error about prerm now, unless Persio and I are isolated cases. Check
your setup and report back.
