  Very often when I close and immediately restart Firefox, it doesn't
  start. The task appears in the Gnome taskbar saying "Starting firefox",
  but after a while the process dies without ever showing the main window
  of the application.
  
  Sometimes it takes two or three attempts to restart it successfully.
