Updating package in official repository

Hi!

I have found that currently assigned as the maintainer of the Nitrokey
App [1] package is this mailing list. We are distributing v1.1 version
already on our PPA and the current system default is v0.6.3 (same as on
Debian). How can I update the package in Ubuntu's official repository?
Could not I just upload the already made v1.1 package somewhere?
