Hey folks,
The new xine-lib package that introduces a new set of binary packages,
which have consequences on the frontends. Effectively this means that
all packages depending on libxine1, need to be adjusted to depend on
either:
Depends: [...], libxine1-x | libxine1 (<< 1.1.8-2)
or
Depends: [...], libxine1-console | libxine1 (<< 1.1.8-2)
depending on if the frontend is X11 based or console based. If it
doesn't need any Video output plugin other than the 'null' plugin, it is
okay to just depend on libxine1-misc-plugin.
Cf. http://bugs.debian.org/448077.
Btw, do we currently have some sort of transition tracker? If not, I'd
suggest to have a malone bug with a bugtask for every package (which
means ~20 tasks). We can track progress this way by using
debian/changelog)
